Japan Backs New Projects for Sustainable Development

Some 17 new projects in the sectors of environment and energy, bioresources, natural disaster prevention and infectious diseases control will be supported by Japan under the Science and Technology Research Partnership for Sustainable Development, a joint program between the Japan International Cooperation Agency and Japan Science and Technology Agency. The program seeks to promote human resource development and capacity building of researchers and research institutes in developing countries by adopting science and technology joint research cooperation with research organizations in Japan.
