Japan Becomes First Country to Donate to Afghan Infrastructure Fund

Japan has deposited $20 million to the Afghanistan Infrastructure Trust Fund. It is the first donor country to contribute to the fund, which is managed by the Asian Development Bank.

ADB established the trust fund in December to pool all public and private contributions for efforts to develop Afghanistan’s infrastructure.
