Japan Funds Uganda Rice Research Center

Japan has provided USD6 million for the construction of a rice production training center for rice scientists and farmers in Uganda. The National Crop Resources Research Institute received the grant, the Monitor reports.

The planned training center includes research laboratories, workshops for rice mills, and dormitories for guests, among other facilities.
