JHPIEGO, an affiliate of John Hopkins University, received three separate grants to facilitate health training programs in Africa. Of the amount, the U.S. Agency for International Development, provided USD20 million for HIV/AIDS treatment in South Africa. ExxonMobil Foundation committed a further USD1 million for anti-malaria projects in Africa. The GE Foundation approved another USD850,000 grant to fund infection prevention activities at community health centers in Uganda’s southwest Isingiro district.
