Key Obama Nominations Sent to Senate

    U.S. President Barack Obama’s nominations for posts at the boards of the Overseas Private Investment Corp. and World Health Organization have been forwarded to the Senate on Jan. 5.

    Terry Lewis and James Torrey are nominated to join OPIC’s board of directors. If approved by the Senate, Lewis will enjoy a term through 2014, while Torrey’s tenure will end in 2013.

    Meanwhile, Nils Daulaire’s nomination as the U.S. representative on WHO’s executive board has also been forwarded to the Senate. He was nominated on Dec. 20, 2010.
