Luxembourg Formalizes Global Fund Commitment

Luxembourg will be providing euro7.5 million (USD10.4 million) to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria from 2011 to 2013.

The country signed an agreement outlining its commitment to the Global Fund Oct. 27. The agreement fulfills the pledge Luxembourg made during the Global Fund’s latest replenishment conference in New York.

The commitment will bring Luxembourg’s total contributions to the Global Fund to euro26 million since 2002.

Luxembourg has also recently announced a multiyear commitment to the Global Alliance for Immunization and Vaccination.
