Luxembourg Reaffirms Support for Kosovo, Montenegro

    Luxembourg has reviewed its development cooperation programs and reaffirmed its support for Kosovo and Montenegro in separate meetings with officials of the two countries.

    Luxembourg Minister for Cooperation and Humanitarian Action Marie-Josee Jacobs met on Tuesday (June 21) with Kosovo’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Enver Hoxhaj to review Luxembourg’s development program in the Balkan country, which focuses on education, health, hydraulics, social development and agriculture. The two officials also signed a bilateral agreement on fighting poverty and promoting sustainable development in Kosovo from 2011 to 2013.

    Jacobs also met with Milan Rocen, the foreign minister of Montenegro, to review Luxembourg’s cooperation program with the country. At the end of their meeting, the two ministers signed a bilateral agreement that aims to improve the lives of people in northeastern Montenegro.
