Magdalena Alvarez is New EIB VP

    Magdalena Alvarez will start her term as a European Investment Bank vice president on July 16. The EIB board of directors announced her appointment July 15.

    In her new post, Alvarez will be in charge of EIB’s financing operations in Portugal, Spain and the countries covered by the bank’s Asian and Latin American mandate.

    Alvarez, a Spanish national, resigned as member of the European Parliament to join EIB.
