Mali, Jamaica to Receive Fresh IMF Funds

The International Monetary Fund has finished its third review of Mali’s economic performance and approved the disbursement of some USD3.1 million worth of special drawing rights. The new funds bring IMF’s total poverty reduction assistance to Mali to nearly USD22 million.

IMF has also approved the disbursement of USD640 million for poverty reduction programs in Jamaica. The funds are part of IMF’s USD1.27 billion standby agreement with the country.
