MCC Begins Burkina Faso Compact Projects

    The Millennium Challenge Corp. has launched projects under a USD481 million compact for Burkina Faso, a five-year program aimed at stirring economic growth and reducing poverty through improved agricultural systems, trading routes and basic education. The colorful ceremonies in the town of Sabou earlier this month marked the start of a road network project and an information campaign on recently approved land legislation, said Molly Glenn, MCC deputy resident country director for Burkina Faso, in her MCC blog.
