The Millennium Challenge Corp. and the Jordanian government have formalized an agreement that will provide the Middle Eastern country with USD275.1 million in grants for a trio of water-related projects.
MCC CEO Daniel Yohannes and Jordanian Minister of Water and Irrigation Mohammad Najjar signed the compact Oct. 25 in Washington, D.C. As reported by Devex, the compact was approved by the MCC board on Sept. 16.
