The Millennium Challenge Corp. and World Food Program are increasing their cooperation in promoting food security and economic development in African nations.

Under a new memorandum of understanding, the two institutions will work to help improve agricultural production in Ghana. MCC will train farmers and build post-harvest facilities in the country.

Joint efforts between MCC and WFP in boosting agriculture and food security will “likely extend” to Burkina Faso, Mozambique, Mali and Senegal, an MCC release states.
