MDG Follow-up Conference Set for June in Tokyo

    Japan is due to host a Millennium Development Goals follow-up meeting in June.

    The event, slated for June 2-3 in Tokyo, is co-organized by the United Nations Development Program, UNICEF, the World Bank and the Japan International Cooperation Agency. It aims to enhance stakeholder coordination in efforts to achieve the eight goals by 2015.

    Representatives from governments, international organizations and civil society are expected to attend the gathering.
