The Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency, a member of the World Bank Group, has named two new officials to its senior management team.
Ana-Mita Betancourt assumed the position of MIGA’s general counsel and director of legal affairs Sept. 27. Meanwhile, Ravi Vish is joining the agency this week as director of its economics and policy group.
In their new posts, Betancourt will be in charge of MIGA’s legal department and serve as its chief legal authority while Vish will manage teams in-charge of assessing country and project risks as well as ensuring that MIGA’s investments are developmentally sound, a news release from the agency explains.
Betancourt is a former official of the Inter-American Development Bank, which she joined in 2007 after practicing law in the private and public realms. Vish has handled senior positions at the International Finance Corporation, also a member of the World Bank Group.
