More Countries Pledge Aid for Haiti

Humanitarian aid continues to pour into Haiti, with Russia joining the latest list of donors. Russia has committed USD5 million, in addition to deploying rescuers and a mobile hospital, ITAR TASS reports.

Meanwhile, Finland upped its humanitarian assistance to Haiti with a new grant of 3.75 million euros (USD5.28 million). This grant will be shared by the World Food Program, UNICEF, International Organization of Migration, and United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs. Finland has initially provided 1.25 million euros in emergency assistance to Haiti, Isria reports.
