Ncube Named AfDB Chief Economist

Mthuli Ncube is the African Development Bank’s new chief economist, replacing Louis Kasekende, who is now deputy governor of the Bank of Uganda. Ncube is currently dean of the University of Witwatesrand’s faculty of commerce, law and management in South Africa. He is also the chairman of the board of the African Economic Research Consortium.
