Nepal Lacks Budget for Post-War Census

Nepal is running short of funds in conducting its premier post-war census slated 2011 after donor agencies showed reluctance in supporting the USD25 million undertaking, the Republica reports. Non-enthusiasm on the part of major agencies like the United Nations, Danish International Development Agency and Japan International Cooperation Agency was believed to spring from the dismal outcome of peace process initiatives in the country.
