Nepal wants donors to resume aid programs

The new Nepalese government is urging donors to restore suspended aid programs for the country, fearing that the lack of development in the country could jeopardize the government’s efforts to end a decade-long conflict. Finance Minister Ram Sharan Mahat made the appeal before a donors’ forum in Kathmandu. He specifically asked donors to fund relief programs for the victims of the insurgency, which has led to the death of 13,000 people.
