New Aid Fundraising Campaign: A Tax on Foreign Currency Trading

U.K. charities, trade unions and faith groups have urged their government to impose a tax on foreign currency trade to raise development funds for poor countries, according to Bloomberg. They specifically clamor for a 0.05 percent charge on every foreign exchange transaction in Britain and other European countries.
