International aid group Catholic Relief Services has named Carolyn Woo as its new president and chief executive officer.
Woo is currently the dean of the Mendoza College of Business of the University of Norte Dame, a position she has held since 1997. She also served on the CRS board of directors from 2004 to 2010.
Woo will assume her new role at CRS on Jan. 1, 2012. She succeeds Ken Hackett, who is retiring after 18 years of leading the organization.
