New Fraud Allegations Against Blackwater

Two former employees of private contractor Blackwater Worldwide are accusing the company of committing fraud against the U.S. Department of State and other government agencies, the Washington Post reports. Brad and Melan Davis said Blackwater, which changed its name last year to Xe Services LLC, has been charging the U.S. government with phony billings for years. The couple said they personally witnessed how the company falsifies invoices, double-bills federal agencies and charges the government for personal expenses. The Davises also accused Blackwater of “systematic” fraud on its contracts with the State Department for Iraq and Afghanistan operations, and with the Federal Emergency Management Agency in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
