New Online Database to Boost Aid Transparency

A new online information portal has been launched to help curb corruption in the use of aid funding, AlertNet reports. AidData will consolidate facts and figures from existing databases, donors’ documents and other sources to offer the most comprehensive information portal on global aid. It also lists all grants and loans pledged by major donors. The tool enables its users to export search results into Excel files and share them in Facebook, Twitter and other social networking sites.
