New Online Map Tracks Haiti Quake Survivors

The International Organization for Migration launched a new interactive map that plots the locations of more than 414 spontaneous resettlement camps housing more than 600,000 earthquake survivors in and around Port-au-Prince, Haiti. The map, which was developed in partnership with UN OCHA, Google and humanitarian information management firm iMMAP, is expected to provide real-time and up-to-date information to humanitarian agencies, donors, the Haitian government and other parties involved in the earthquake relief and reconstruction effort. The map is accessible by anyone with Internet connection.
