North Korea is among the latest countries that Brazil is expanding its diplomatic ties with, Reuters notes. The Brazilian ambassador to North Korea has noted that the Latin American giant is keen to broaden its dialogue with the country to include discussions about its nuclear program and security concerns. The ambassador added that Brazil opposed the new sanctions slapped by the U.N. on North Korea, explaining that the sanctions would only make life harder for the country’s residents without solving any social or security problems.
