
The Inter-American Development Bank’s Multilateral Investment Fund and its partners are seeking sustainable tourism proposals for coastal, waterway, and island destinations, with the aim to help protect the environment and improve the livelihood of local populations.
MIF, Ashoka’s Changemakers and National Geographic have launched “The Geotourism Challenge 2010: Places on the Edge - Saving Coastal & Freshwater Destinations,” an online contest that aims to tap innovative solutions for sustainable destination management by micro- to medium-sized companies in Latin America and the Caribbean.
