Pakistan city receives ADB funding

Two of Karachi’s priority modernization projects are set to benefit from a massive USD1.1 billion Asian Development Bank grant. The Karachi Mega City Sustainable Development Investment Program and the MFF-Karachi Mega City Sustainable Development Investment Program aim to carry out key upgrades in the city’s housing, water, waste management, mass transit and administration sectors. ADB Principal Urban Development Specialist Eunkyung Kwon believes the success of these initiatives will help uplift the lives of the city’s poor residents.
