Pakistan Eyes Approval of 3 ADB Loans

The Asian Development Bank is expected to approve three loans worth a total of USD470 million for Pakistan on June 24, an ADB official revealed. The bank’s executive board will meet on the said date to consider the Pakistani government’s request for three program loans that will help cover the nation’s budget deficit, an official of the ADB’s Economic Affairs Division was cited by The Express Tribune. The lender’s last requisite for the Sindh government to create two agriculture market committees will be achieved, the official added.
