Pakistan Secures ADB Support for Power Plant Project

The Asian Development Bank has agreed to lend Pakistan up to USD100 million for the construction of a gas-fired power plant in the province of Balochistan.

The 404-megawatt power plant is expected to boost Pakistan’s energy supply and make electricity more affordable for its population, the Daily Times says, citing Michael Barrow, head of ADB’s private sector operations department.
