Pakistan Water Management Scheme Gains World Bank Backing

will lend $50 million to enhance water resource management and farm production in Sindh, Pakistan. The financial support will be spent to improve irrigation water distribution in some 3,000 watercourses. Tunnel farming for high value crops, and training of farmers in improved water management, agricultural practices and new technology and information dissemination will also be supported by the funding.
