Philippines Appeals for Reconstruction Funds

The Philippines is appealing to international donors for USD1 billion in reconstruction assistance,

reports. The appeal was made after two recent strong typhoons battered the country, leaving at least USD396 million worth of damages to agriculture and USD144 million damages to infrastructure.
