earmarked 3 million euros ($4 million) to help address humanitarian needs in the Philippines' war-torn Mindanao region. An estimated 240,000 people have been internally displaced due to the armed conflict between government forces and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front. The funding will be managed by non-governmental organizations, specialized United Nations agencies and the Red Cross/Red Crescent movement. It will support feeding programs, basic social services and psychosocial activities.
