Philippines Secures World Bank Aid for Irrigation Scheme

    The World Bank is offering some $70.36 million to enhance the Philippines' irrigation services and agricultural productivity,

    reports. The loan will boost the institutional capacity of the National Irrigation Administration in providing irrigation services. It will also help irrigator associations take on operation and maintenance duties of 58 national irrigation systems, which were previously assumed by NIA.
