Philippines Wins USD190M US Aid

The Philippines has signed a development agreement with the U.S. worth USD190 million to speed up and sustain development projects in the country’s Mindanao region.

The agreement increases assistance to the Mindanao Peace and Development program. Present at the signing were Mindanao Development Authority Chairperson Luwalhati R. Antonino and U.S. Agency for International Development Philippines Mission Director Gloria D. Steele, according to the Manila Bulletin’s website.

“This agreement stands for our continuing partnership with the development programs funded by the U.S. government,” Steel said as quoted by the Manila Bulletin.
