Private sector seminar in Egypt gets AfDB backing

The African Development Bank, along with the Egyptian International Development Ministry, has drawn up plans of holding a private sector seminar in the country. The event, which will be themed as “Financing Options and Opportunities,” will aim at cementing good practices for Egypt’s private sector development and improving the dynamics between private enterprises and their public sector partners. “At the end of the seminar, participants should be familiar with the guiding principles and Bank Group private sector financing criteria,” said AfDB private sector director Tim Turner. Since it began operating in Egypt in 1974, the bank has allocated a total of around USD3.73 billion for various operations in the country.
