Rome Meeting Addresses Haiti Food Security

Multilateral and bilateral donors are meeting in Rome Feb. 12 to discuss medium- and long-term food access, nutrition security and agricultural development in Haiti. The meeting will be convened by Haitian Agriculture Minister Joanas Gue. Key participants include Food and Agriculture Organization Director General Jacques Diouf, World Food Program Executive Director Josette Sheeran, and International Fund for Agricultural Development President Kanayo Nwanze. Representatives from the Inter-American Development Bank, World Bank, Inter-American Institute for Cooperation in Agriculture and other Haitian stakeholders are also participating.
