The Rwandan government must scale up its spending on education to 20 percent of its annual budget and allocate funding for early childhood education, Joel Nsengiyumva of ActionAid Rwanda argues. ActionAid launched May 15 a national campaign on education, women’s rights and food security to ensure that early childhood education is a priority of the government.
