Samoa Health Project Receives Extra USD3M From World Bank

The Health Sector Management Program Support Project in Samoa received additional funding of USD3 million from the World Bank, according to a press release. The additional financing is targeted toward enhancing the skills of health care workers, providing staff training on disease management, and conducting disaster risk mitigation activities. Samoa’s health sector needs recovery assistance estimated at USD7.4 million following last year’s tsunami.
