Saudi Arabian Oil Minister Ali al- Naimi said new technology has yet to meet its full potential in the fight against global warming. “We feel that technology must take its rightful place in providing value solutions to the challenges of the climate change,” he said at a conference in Beijing, according to Saudi Press Agency’s Web site. Enhanced energy efficiency, carbon capture and storage and cleaner fuels will all play a role in the future, as well as technologies that have yet to emerge, he said. (Bloomberg)
