Solomon Islands Secure EU Budget Support for Climate Change Initiatives

The European Union is providing $2.8 million in budget support to help the Solomon Islands mitigate the effects of climate change. The EU and the Pacific island signed the aid agreement at the recently concluded Joint Pacific-European Union Initiative on Climate Change held in Vanuatu, the Solomon Times Online reports.

At the same event, the EU has pledged €90 million ($123 million) to support climate change adaptation measures in the Pacific, as Devex reported.
