Somali Minister Urges Aid Agencies to Move to Mogadishu

Somali aid and humanitarian minister Mohamud Abdi Ibrahim of Somalia’s transitional government has called on aid agencies to move their offices from Nairobi, Kenya, to Mogadishu. This, he said, will benefit displaced people in and around the Somali capital.

The proposal follows the departure of some aid agencies operating in the country, where people have been uprooted from their homes due to violence, Shabelle Media Network reports.
