South America Unites to Aid Haiti

    Members of the Union of South American Nations healed years of regional rift after meeting in Ecuador Feb. 9 to approve a USD300 million support to Haiti, Bloomberg reports. Funded through the Inter-American Development Bank, the aid will benefit Haiti’s reconstruction in the areas of agriculture, electricity infrastructure, health and education.
