    South Korea has agreed to strengthen its bilateral ties with Ecuador, particularly in the infrastructure and energy sectors, the Seoul-based Yonhap News Agency says. The two countries will also explore expanding their cooperation in trade and investment, information and communication technology, and environment initiatives, the office of South Korean President Lee Myung-bak said according to Yonhap. Lee, who is hosting Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa in Seoul, sought Correa’s active support for South Korean firms interested in investing in the Latin American country. Correa, meanwhile, asked Lee to expand’s South Korea’s development aid to Ecuador.
