Spain earmarked some USD460.5 million in loans to China from 2008 to 2010. The funding includes more than USD25 million for the reconstruction of earthquake-damaged Sichuan under an inter-governmental fiscal cooperation agreement signed by the two nations. The post-earthquake aid will back environment projects, urban infrastructure construction, energy-saving initiatives and emission reduction schemes as well as sewage treatment enhancement and transport facilities upgrade.
