Spotlight on Human Security in Arab World

    Brussels will host Friends of Europe’s 2010 Development Policy Forum Debates March 9, which will focus on the issue of human security in the Arab world. At the event’s opening, Amat Al Alim Alsoswa, United Nations Development Program’s assistant secretary-general, will present findings of the fifth Arab Human Development Report, including the impact on development of the widespread absence of human security in Arab nations and the worsening human security situation since the first UNDP report in 1994.
