Sri Lanka Secures ADB Loan for Water and Sanitation Project

The Asian Development Bank earmarked USD59.78 million in loan and 23.22 million in grant to improve water and sanitation services in the Sri Lankan towns of Chilaw, Mannar, Puttalam, and Vavuniya. The Sri Lankan government agreed to provide USD28.33 million while the Netherlands Trust Fund for the Water Financing Partnership Facility is contributing USD2 million to cofinance the project.
