Stakeholders Express Concern Over Canada's Aid Spending

Canada's aid spending and commitment to lead new major international aid projects is becoming a source of concern among stakeholders, who are asking where Ottawa will source the money for these projects, the Globe and Mail reports. Canada is currently in the midst of a spending clampdown.

The country's commitments to new projects and sizable commitments to Afghanistan have opened concerns that money from existing projects will be siphoned to fund these new priorities.
