Strauss-Kahn: No IMF Money for Zimbabwe Now

    Zimbabwe will have to wait longer before receiving assistance from the International Monetary Fund. IMF Managing Director Dominique Strauss-Kahn noted that the organization is not yet prepared to resume its lending to the country, the Zimbabwe Times reports.

    “We are happy to help,” Strauss-Kahn said. “But … as long as the political situation will not make it possible to come back on track in terms of arrears and governance, it will be very difficult for us to come back.”
