Botswana’s Ministry of Finance and Development Planning and the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency have signed a partnership agreement to promote effective taxation system.
The Swedish Tax Agency, through a budgetary assistance of 12.5 million Swedish Kroner (USD1.58 million), will be tasked to build the capacity of the Botswana Unified Revenue Services in tax administration. STA will provide training to BURS personnel to improve collection efficiency and tax compliance auditing, according to a press release by the government of Botswana.
