Syria is offering USD30 billion worth of infrastructure development projects to Malaysian contractors through a five-year public-private partnership program, which is part of a bigger USD100 billion initiative by the Syrian government for the development of the country’s infrastructure, industry and human resources. The program includes a USD1.18 billion tollway project and a USD400 million road construction scheme, Bernama reports.
