Leaders in the shared value movement and those interested in getting involved are gathering this week in New York to talk about what’s next in how businesses can make a profit while tackling social and environmental challenges.

The Shared Value Leadership Summit opened on Monday with remarks from Professor Michael Porter, who wrote the paper that helped name the business strategy and a conversation with World Bank President Jim Yong Kim about his views on the role of business and the bank.

Watch the video above to find out what they had to say and for a preview of the conversations Devex had with Coca-Cola Co., Indian giant Mahindra, and biotech firm Novozymes.
